The Romanian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery is strengthening its presence within the professional community, both nationally and internationally, while developing public information and awareness initiatives.

Starting this year, under the leadership of Prof. Răzvan Hainăroșie, MD, PhD, President of the Society, a new concept has been developed – “ENT Romania – An Active Presence” – centred on medical education, the exchange of experience, international representation and active involvement in informing and educating the public about ENT health.

A major milestone is the National Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery, which brings together national and international specialists.

The IFOS Istanbul 2026 event offered an opportunity to showcase Romanian ENT expertise, foster professional exchange and strengthen relationships with medical societies and specialists.

Romania was represented at the World Congress of Otorhinolaryngology – IFOS Istanbul 2026 by a delegation of 189 physicians, one of the largest among the 93 participating countries.

Romania had the fourth-largest delegation, highlighting the international involvement and the significant support provided to IFOS Istanbul 2026 by the Romanian Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.

This year, the Society will launch the “ENT Conditions Information and Awareness Marathon”, a project dedicated to raising public awareness of the main ENT conditions and prevention.
