ESPO 2027

With just over a year to go until ESPO 2027 in Prague (www.espo2027.com), preparations are coming together for another great congress. President-Elect Jiří Skřivan and his local team have been working hard to create an exciting programme. The congress theme is Prague as a Unifying European City and, like the city itself, the programme will bridge East and West, history and modernity.

ESPO 2027 will be a truly global meeting, with speakers being invited not only from Europe but from the USA, Canada, South America, Southeast Asia, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand.  The opening keynote speaker will be Professor Andrej Král, a renowned specialist in neuroscience whose work has had a major impact on the understanding of child brain development.

Prague has become one of Europe’s most attractive destinations for international congresses, welcoming thousands of delegates each year. Its central location, rich cultural heritage, and modern infrastructure make it an ideal meeting place for ESPO. Situated near the historic centre and offering panoramic views of the city skyline, the Prague Congress Centre hosts many major international conventions, and is the perfect venue for the ESPO congress.

Abstract submission will open in April, so stay tuned for more information!

In other news from the Society, Young ESPO has been busy developing the WikiESPO platform, which is available online and accessible to all ESPO members (wiki.espo.eu.com/login). There are now 30 articles on topics such as airway, head and neck, otology, rhinology, and infectious diseases.  Readers are invited to contribute by sharing comments or suggestions. You may also wish to write a new article yourself on a topic of your expertise!
