IOS 66th Annual Meeting, Galway, October 10-11, 2025
The 66th annual meeting of the Irish Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Society (IOS) will be held at the Salthill Hotel, Galway on 11-12th October 2025. With an emphasis on Skull Base Surgery for this year’s meeting, the President and council are delighted to welcome an exceptional lineup of international faculty including Prof Richard Irving (Birmingham), Prof Shak Saeed (London), Prof Manohar Bance (Cambridge), Dr Garrett Choby (Pittsburgh) and Prof Shahz Ahmed (Birmingham) together with Mr Brendan Hanna (Belfast), Prof James Paul O’Neill, Dr Patrick Nicholson, Professor Robbie Woods and Mr Shawkat Abdulrahman from Dublin. A series of lectures, panel discussions, free papers and posters will be presented. Prizes with generous bursaries will be awarded for best basic science free paper, clinical free paper, head and neck paper (Aonghus Curran award) and best poster presentation (Prof Nash Patil award). The annual Wilde discourse, in honour of Sir William Wilde, father of Oscar, will be delivered by Prof Richard Irving. Always a very sociable occasion, the 66th IOS meeting takes place in the heart of the West of Ireland, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The President and Council eagerly anticipate welcoming faculty and delegates to Galway.
