President's Welcome Message

Dear friends,

Welcome to the CEORLHNS homepage. It offers you many important, useful, and interesting pieces of information about one of the major aspects of our lives, otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery.
We established CEORLHNS as a strong organization that brought together 46 national societies, 15 subspecialty societies, EBE ORL HNS, the ORL section of UEMS, and the Young Confederation. Collaboration among all components of the Confederation has been increasing with each new PC tenure, improving European ORL head and neck surgery through many educational, scientific, organizing, and social activities.

The efforts of the entire CEORL-HNS and of the congress president, Prof. Ann Hermansson and her team, led to the fantastic congress recently organized in Gothenburg. It was, in many respects, the largest CEORLHNS congress ever. The congress achieved all its aims, including improving participants' knowledge and skills, gaining news from pharmaceutical and medical technology companies, strengthening old friendships and making new ones, and enhancing awareness of belonging to one ORL-HNS community.
The Confederation, with the next congress president, Prof. Stefan Plontke, and his team, has begun organizing another congress to be held in Berlin, Germany, from 16 to 20 September 2028. We would like to invite you to join us.

CEORL-HNS Academy, after successfully completing five courses, is organizing the sixth course, which will be held in Venice, Italy, on 26-27 October 2026. We invite residents and young specialists to attend.

The new presidential council has a difficult task, as the previous council raised the bar very high, but we are ready to do at least as well as our predecessors and work hard to enhance and improve European otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery, in line with our slogan “Creating one voice for ORL-HNS in Europe and beyond.”
