Letter from the President

Dear colleagues and friends,

Welcome to the 5th Congress of the European Confederation of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery– and thank you for your support and your interest in the science and practice in our medical field.

The Confederation exist to advance Science and Research in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ORL-HNS) and allied disciplines, and to unify the advancement of ORL-HNS in Europe.

Awareness, visibility and prestige of ORL-HNS specialists is growing fast, partly thanks to you and people like you –health professionals, researchers and patients. We owe a great part of CEORL’s success to our 15-subspecialty society members and the 41 contributing national societies. Thus, all of us at the Confederation warmly thank you for being here. 

One of the Confederation’s major commitments is its biennial scientific congress specifically targeting trainees, specialists and fellows. 

The 5th Congress of European ORL-Head & Neck Surgery, with Prof. Marc Remacle as the congress president, will take place in the city of Brussels from June29 to July 3, 2019. I am sure that the highly attractive congress program and the venue for meeting, located in the very heart of Bruxelles, the “European capital city”. Bruxelles is easy to reach from all European countries and from overseas. It combines the charms of a traditional European city and the vibrant atmosphere of Europe’s political and administrative center.

The scientific program, led by Dr. Elisabeth Sjogren, is based on three main pillars: the European scientific societies, the European national societies and the UEMS ORL Section & Board.

On behalf of the Confederation, I encourage you to take advantage of this outstanding opportunity to meet with friends, colleagues and renowned specialists from all over Europe. Come and join us in Bruxelles to further strengthen and unify Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Europe.
